The Sea The Sea
The Sea The Sea
THE SEA THE SEA is an Upstate New York based indie folk-pop duo-fronted band featuring what HuffPost calls, “Two of the loveliest male-female voices you might ever hear this or any other year.” Their 2014 debut release, Love We Are We Love, received praise from NPR, American Songwriter, and No Depression, among others, gathering over 15 million streams on Spotify. The animated video for their song "Waiting" sparked viral interest including Buzzfeed, Pitchfork, and inclusion at the international TED 2015 conference. Their 2016 release, the six-song EP In the Altogether, earned features on Apple Music’s ‘Best of the Week’ and ‘A-List Singer/Songwriter’ lists. The band is gearing up to release their sophomore full-length album, From The Light, on June 1 (2018) and is currently touring the US as a four-piece with the addition of Cara May Gorman (vocals, synthesizer) and drummer and percussionist Stephen Struss.
The Morning Yells
The Morning Yells
The Morning Yells is a new Los Angeles band made up of siblings Phil & Laura Stancil (guitar, vocals /bass, vocals), Trevor Smith (guitar, vocals), Jacob Boll (Keyboards, Guitar), and Curran McDowell (Drums, Percussion). Blending Heartland Rock, Americana, Power Pop, and Psychedelia with ease, the group has a knack for writing songs that are familiar and new at once. They draw comparisons to a variety of artists; Big Star, The War On Drugs, Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac and Phantom Planet are common mentions at their live show.

They met in common LA band fashion ‐ New Angelinos come west by way of Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, and Pennsylvania. Chance meetings through mutual friends brought the group together, and in 2017 The Morning Yells was formed. Their debut EP Proper Wilted received praise for its harmonies, song craft, and nods to classic folk, country, and rock.

Following the release of Proper Wilted, they took a batch of new songs to Engineer/Producer Clay Blair at Boulevard Recording in Hollywood to begin work on a full length record. The songs boast strong blood harmonies, and their deeply rooted lyrics are accompanied by bright electric guitars, strumming acoustics and chiming pianos ‐ polished yet gritty. The Morning Yells have created a nuanced sound that is completely inspired, and truly their own.

Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Anna Vogelzang's “warm, engaging folk-pop" (Relix) has brought her to stages across the US for over 10 years. Her melody-driven, multi-instrumental songwriting has been met with warm reviews and landed her at festivals, conferences, and on bills with some of her heroes, including Sara Bareilles, Gillian Welch, Mirah, Anais Mitchell, Laura Gibson, Wye Oak, Amanda Palmer, and many more. Her latest project, out in 2019, features Los Angeles mainstays Jay Bellerose, Adam Levy, Mai Bloomfield, and Tyler Chester. Mixed by long-time collaborator Todd Sickafoose, the EP dives into electronic, gritty landscapes that underpin her mystical and imagistic "wide expansive sound" (Magnet).
