Mind Monogram
Mind Monogram
Intricately webbed through precise cuts of post-progression and sharp avant-garde musings, Los Angeles based quartet, Mind Monogram, stretch conceptual boundaries to illusory sounds that blend their signature aroma of versatility. Experimental bursts heard on “Dark Matter Theory” to the jazz-progressive “Hedberg,” paved the way for a successful sophomore album, Ivory Hall, budding from their youthful debut, Moments in Time. Edgar A. Ruiz, Christian Caro, Bryan Mejia, and Billy Azurdia drip with high throttled sets and polished performances. Mind Monogram passionately awakens the band’s evolution live, since their first appearance in 2014, imploring each member’s influences and cathartically caters to each audience for a seamless delivery of art-rock.
Cesar Saez
Cesar Saez
César Sáez leaves his apartment with a hint of nostalgia as one wishes to meet with a brotherhood of friends to banish the spite. This is shown on the streets of Los Angeles in his video "Perdido" , name that the title to his debut EP, recorded in the Sound Factory and produced by Ettore Grenci ( Marc Anthony, Gloria Stefan, Alex Anwandter ).
Indie pop influenced by the bolero , the country and of course moments of folk , where his guitar accompanies the stories that sang to him to his mother and ex girlfriends, and that ended up to gestate the five tracks that compose the Extended Play Perdido (2016), Which César has just released worldwide through digital platforms selling music and streaming .
The singer-songwriter expresses his intimate feelings with a confidentiality carried by the minimalism of his sound, along with the use of harmonies and the subtlety of his compositions. There is pain, but in the development of his sonorous memories it shows a light of hope, an open door to the musical universe of a rising artist.
Strange Phases
Strange Phases
Stange Phases was born from the vision of guitarist/vocalist Curt Barlage in 2015. Fresh from the split of his previous band, The Bixby Knolls, Curt instantly immersed himself in the dim, red lights and cigarette haze of an east downtown Los Angeles studio to begin the next chapter of his musical endeavors. Joined by drummer Travis Drum, acquainted by chance meeting, the pair would move beyond the notion that Strange Phases was just a creative hub of scattered ideas and late night demos. Guitarist/keyboardist Monica Mendoza and bassist Patrick Mertens soon joined, completing the line-up and fully functional force known as Strange Phases.

10 songs would be created, compiled and recorded throughout 2016 for a debut full length album titled, Art of Restart. Driven, yet atmospheric guitars take a front seat, along with confident vocal melodies carried by words of hopefulness, frustration, societal indignation and spiritual freedom. Vintage organs, analog synths, violins, and cellos are entwined with the thunder of the rhythm section, while a Japanese Koto makes several cameos. Art of Restart, the debut release from Strange Phases is out worldwide on all digital formats.
