Cillie Barnes
Cillie Barnes
As a collective of LA night-crawlers, Cillie Barnes is a five-piece, avant-pop project helmed by Vanessa Long, previously in Family of the Year.

On board with Long now are Marko Kurtović, Nick White, Thomas Berg, and Andrew Tyler – and for those keeping tabs, their celebrity couple name would be Bergler Long Whitević.

The LA native released two E.P.’s,

Happy Valley and Friendly Witch (produced by Mike Mogis and Nate Walcott);

Had her songs placed in a couple television shows, and has had some quotes written about her.

“Cillie channels the mysterious manic pixie..” (MTV)

Some have described the music as, “Unsettling stylistically as it is thematically..”(BuzzBands)

And some say that it, “Falls around you like a cloak of magic, rich and duskily beautiful..” (Vice Noisy)

But that’s all in the past now and you can make up your own damn mind, can’t you?

Cillie Barnes’ debut full-length, Cobra Lily, produced by Joe Keefe, welcomes you into her moon-lit, imaginative world of sentimental storytelling, anthemic dream pop, and cinematic instrumentation.

A theatrical thread flows throughout these songs transporting you to Twin Peak’s Roadhouse; like at the end of an episode..

leaving you light and lifted, a vague haunting settling sneakily into the dust.

After playing shows with Jenny Lewis, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Maria Taylor, Elliot Sumner, etc..and their own month long residency at The Satellite, Long and her crew enjoy the finer things in life.

Running the Grand Canyon, Good animation, Haunted houses, Hounds, Cheese, Boardgames, Murder Mysteries and Magick.
The Chances
The Chances
The Chances are a band from Los Angeles, California. One man, Michael, asked Two Women, Julia and Sara, to come over and sing some songs in his living room. The band was established soon after, serving as a simple showcase for lovelorn lyrics, honeyed harmonies, and casual execution of doo wop meets brill pop arrangements. The group now prepare their debut album of long lost love songs and continue to perform live in the Southern California area.
Hailing from Los Angeles, SILENTSHOUT is an exploratory avant-pop duo comprised of singer/dancer/multi-instrumentalist Alina Cutrono and composer/producer/multi-instrumentalist Theo Karon. Their sound is characterized by Alina’s disarmingly intimate and direct vocals, bolstered by a blend of dark synth pop, musique concrete, experimental dance music and the shrieking acoustical oddness of the classical avant-garde. The duo draws inspiration from Bjork, Kate Bush, Robert Wyatt, and Vangelis to craft sonic worlds that underpin the exaltation and terror of their lyrics, evoking the oppressive paranoia of postmodern sci-fi as a mirror held to the present era. Their live show is explosive and constantly evolving, supported by a rotating cast of members and instrumentation, while the band’s studio work incorporates cutting-edge electronic minimalism, experimental analog processes, and ambitious large ensemble arrangements on equal footing. Their debut album, You Will Learn, is slated to be released in 2018.
