Total Recluse
Total Recluse
Richard is a recluse from Silverlake who creates and performs music under the moniker Total Recluse. Recent EP, Coastal Lows was produced by Kennedy (known for his work with Harvest Records) and has been described as dreamy psych pop.
JOYEUR
JOYEUR
JOYEUR is a LA-based duo whose brand of pop music at times ventures into the worlds of funk, trap and soul while remaining eccentric. Their hypnotic melodies and tribal rhythms are built for the dance-floor and meld the styles of singer-songwriter Joelle Corey and producer-instrumentalist Anna Feller
Curtsy
Curtsy
Curtsy is an indie-rock five piece consisting of Austin Knecht, Crystal Napoles, Kai Dodson, Tamara Simons, and Jonathan Palmquist. Curtsy was formed when Austin Knecht (vocals, guitar) auditioned as a lap steel player for a country-folk band fronted by Crystal Napoles (vocals, keys). After bonding over their mutual love of 80s pop and 90s shoegaze, the pair branched off and began writing songs together. Jonathan Palmquist (drums), Kai Dodson (bass), and Tamara Simons (guitar) joined the group along the way, forming a completive, rich rhythm section. Curtsy's sound meshes elements of lush indie pop with alt rock's driving rhythms and folk rock's haunting boy/girl harmonies, creating a sound that oscillates between angry dream pop and dreamy alt rock.
Jody
Jody
Jody is a three piece Los Angeles based band consisting of Van Shydner (Guitar/Vox), Rachael Tubul (Bass/Backup Vox), and Greg Shilton (Drums/Backup Vox). Fully entrenched and inspired by the contemporary LA music scene of the last 10+ years their musical styles range from poppy, to dreamy, to post punk and garage. Each song encompasses the emotions tied to the genre which are expressed by their passion, joys, struggles and confusion that arrises from daily life. With subject matters ranging from LGBT identity to interpersonal dynamics Jody’s music attributes an infectious energy with a hopeful attitude.
