The Eagle Rock Gospel Singers
The Eagle Rock Gospel Singers
The Eagle Rock Gospel Singers began as a collective of friends getting together in the summer of 2010. A choir of up to 15 revived the old Gospel spirit with songs like “I Shall Not Be Moved”, “12 Gates”, and “In My Time of Dying”. Slowly they evolved into a band of 6, committed to embracing the richness found in early 20th century recordings. Influenced by past Gospel musicians such as The Dixie Hummingbirds, Washington Phillips and Sister Rosetta Tharpe as well as current bands like The Black Keys, Wilco, and Calexico, the band creates a unique style drawing from rhythm and blues, alt-country, indie rock and folk.

A rousing celebration of traditional Americana music has always been the hallmark of The Eagle Rock Gospel Singers. A full length album released in 2015, Heavenly Fire, brims with fiery melodies and country moods, highlighting the band's notoriety for crafting original Gospel material. Their debut album laid the foundation for two successful North American tours, including appearances at prestigious festivals such as Winnipeg Folk Fest, Montreal Jazz Fest, Austin City Limits, and Voodoo Fest of New Orleans. The album also garnered high-profile song placements (MTV, Showtime, Amazon, Discovery Channel), as well as popular playlist spots.

Their sophomore effort, "No Glory" features a return to the Gospel roots that the group was founded on. The songs range from all out rockers to smooth a cappella numbers. The band's thumping rhythm section and choir singing places them in a unique position in which they constantly blend Americana music genres (blues, folk, country, and soul). They are working on their third full length album right now and aim to release it later on in 2019.
The Born To Kills
The Born To Kills
If your dick stepdad was a cop named Gary, he’d be the embodiment of The Born To Kills. Gary is mean as hell, and so are The Born To kills. But they only yell because they care. The Born To Kills have been playing shows since 2007, and moved to L.A. from their native Texas in 2013. With a dense and angular sound composed of classic rock, hardcore and doom metal leanings with a tad bit of crooning mixed in, it’s hard to say what they are, but they consider themselves heavy garage rock. They have played shows with artists as varied as Listener, Colleen Green, Tori Vasquez, The Shivas and Daniel Markham. The Born To Kills have released two EPs to date, 2007’s “Southern Lights” and 2013’s “Live At Brown Town”, and have received regular play on Texas college radio. Their third EP, “Ghosts” is slated for release summer 2019.
Lashon
Lashon
Lashon is a Los Angeles based singer/songwriter. Her folk writing style and R&B vocals mix to create catchy tunes with soul.
The High Life Cajun Band
The High Life Cajun Band
The High Life Cajun Band plays straight out Cajun dance music. The sounds and rhythms of a Friday night dance in southwest Louisiana are alive and kicking when this band begins to play. With the accordion and fiddle at the helm of the melody, and the guitar and drums bringing the beat, the melodies of Acadiana pulse and push dancers across the floor. This band plays Pig Roasts, BBQ’s, club dates, dances, and festivals all over Southern California. The past two falls the band has travelled back to Louisiana for the annual Blackpot Camp & Festival, where they soak in more and more of the music (and food and dancing) direct from the source. If you can’t make it to the prairies of Louisiana, catch the High Life and they’ll be sure to take you there (at least for the night)!
